Understand waste management and create an eco-friendly environment. Learn how to manage the new waste being generated – disposable masks, as a result of the onset of COVID-19 pandemic, types of waste, microplastics and communicating awareness about the importance of waste management.
Objectives:
- Learn how masks are adding to non-biodegradable waste generation
- Understand how masks are made, and how they can be safely disposed
- Design strategies for efficient mask disposal, conduct surveys and figure out what is happening in local communities
- Explore science communication strategies for spreading awareness about waste management
